Our rug system is simple and uncomplicated, designed to come apart in two layers. The durable and nonslip base provides grip and stability, while your unique top layer can be peeled off and machine washed whenever you need it. No worries!

Size — Your rug can illuminate a space, help to design a cosy arrangement or define a larger living area. When in doubt, always size up! If placed in the bedroom, dining room or living room, always ensure the focal furniture sits within the borders of the rug. Maximise visual airiness by leaving at least 30cm of space between your rug and the walls.

Style — Subtle or adventurous, timeless or contemporary, our various styles of rug add visual interest and distinct personality to any space. Create exciting energy with our Abstract and Mid-Century daring designs, or enhance subtle environments with our Morroccon and Persian cultural classics.

Colour — Complement your space with a rug colour that accentuates your chosen mood, tone or energy. Clean and cool shades conjure peace and serenity. Bright and bold hues contribute creativity and fun. Select from our variety of colours and create the perfect palette for your home.

Material — Ensure balance and ease throughout your home with Double's curated selection of textures. Chenille and New Jute are low-pile and highly durable, providing classic comfort to high traffic areas such as entryways and walkways. Cotton Pile, Highland and Vegan Shearling are luxurious underfoot, bringing soft and plush cosiness to the bedroom or living room.

About Our Rugs

What is Double? How does it work?

Our rug system is simple and uncomplicated, designed to come apart in two layers for easy cleaning or machine washing whenever you need it.

What are your Double rugs made of?

Our cover layers are made from a durable water resistant polyester, and our base layers are made from 100% recycled polyester. Our Chenille and New Jute textures are made from sustainably sourced materials and our plush, Cotton Pile texture is made from organic cotton. All our rug bases are constructed from a yoga-mat like material, for a nonslip and comfortable footing.

Where are Double rugs made?

All of our rugs are designed and developed at our headquarters in Australia and manufactured in China to provide the most advanced technology for superior craftsmanship and long lasting durability.

Rug Care & Cleaning

How do I wash or clean my rug?

All our rugs are 100% machine washable and easy care, despite variation in texture. Please refer to your rug’s specific care instructions, here. For any major accidents, remove the cover layer and wash immediately. Minor spills can be spot cleaned with a mild, non-bleach detergent.

Shipping

Where do you ship to?

We currently only ship within Australia. We hope to expand this in the future.

Return & Exchange

What is your return / exchange policy?

All items purchased directly from Double can be returned for a full refund or exchanged within 30 days of delivery. However, we incur a small restocking fee of $30 to cover the return or exchange. Any items returned in a condition deemed as no longer resalable will not be honoured for a refund. For an item to be eligible for a return or exchange, it must be shipped back in its original packaging or similar packaging that will keep the item safe while in transit. The item must also be new, unused, unwashed, undamaged, and in resalable condition, free from:

  • Fur, dirt, stains, or any foreign material
  • Signs of wear or tear, washing, or damage due to improper care

Refunds are processed within 7 business days after we receive your return and will be reflected in the original form of payment used during purchase, or in store credit if requested.
