Traditional wool rugs are rarely designed with home washing or easy cleaning in mind. They are often heavy, rigid, and difficult to move, which means even small accidents can require professional cleaning.

Double's washable wool collection approaches construction differently. Our flexible backing allows the rugs to be moved and cleaned more easily than traditional wool rugs, while still retaining the dense texture and softness associated with premium New Zealand wool.

This flexibility also opens up a wider range of textural finishes rarely seen in washable rugs, including thick Berbers, loop piles, and higher-pile surfaces that feel fuller.
